Welcome to the Fernanda Maria Chapter DAR

The Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) is a non-profit, non-political volunteer service organization made up of approximately 175,000 members with 3,000 chapters. These chapters are located in all fifty states and in many countries around the world. On October 11, 1890, eighteen women met to officially organize the NSDAR for historic, educational, and patriotic purposes. Since that day, over 800,000 members have been admitted into membership.

The Fernanda Maria chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, was organized in 1952. We currently have eighty-seven members and five associate members. We range in age from 22 to 94. Our chapter meets on the 2nd Monday of September to celebrate Constitution Week and on the first Monday October thru June.  We sometimes have a field trip or work day in lieu of our regular monthly chapter meetings. Our meetings begin promptly at 10:30 a.m. with the exception of our September meeting which begins at 10:00 a.m.  We encourage our members and guests to come early to socialize with one another. We have approximately 30 members and prospective members in attendance at our meetings. We look forward to occasional visits from members who are not able to attend on a regular basis.
